a new Grace

We have a brand new member of the family:

My parents adopted her from the Humane Society, and have named her Grace.

Anyone who has read this blog for any length of time knows how much I adore my parents.  The new Grace is yet another reason why.  Some of you know us, and know that Mama and Daddy lost their entire house, including their cats, in Hurricane Katrina.  While our family is luckier than many in our ability to recover, devastation still takes its toll, and Grace is Mama’s first foray into pet ownership since.  I can’t wait to meet her.

As for me, I’m still plugging away at Faith.  Keep your fingers crossed!

  1. Deneane,
Its been a while since I visited your blog. Imagine my surprise when I read about the new Grace. You have developed quite a fan base since I last visited. Best of luck with Faith.

  2. Oh what a cutie! Love the name, too. :) We adopted a kitten not long ago. His name is Rusty and he is a little orange tabby. I have always had dogs and I cannot believe how easy a cat is to care for and clean up after. Wow! LOL!

Just wanted to let you know that I changed my site and URL, if you want to update the link. My blog is still Under the Umbrella, but you can find the sites now at http://oh-so-jen.com. Hope you are doing great and that the writing is going well. :D

  3. ~laughing~ Obviously, I’m not keeping up with the blog terribly well myself, but i’ve been writing a great deal, and working and prom dress shopping.

The fans have been great. I love every single communication from them, be it email, comment, or regular ol’ snail mail.

    Love you, too, Daddy.

  4. Jen,

Thank you! I’ve been so sucked into finishing Faith and … well … life stuff, that I’ve not posted much at all. Thank you for keeping up with me!
