twits, tweets, and restful weeks

What an amazing and productive week it has been!  I have been fortunate enough to have muchly time off this year … some of it courtesy of the tanked economy, but we’ve weathered that and it leaves me with virtually all of my vacation intact for the second half of the year.

To that end, I was able to take this week and use it for nothing but me me me (and you you you, eventually, since I got lots of Charity time in.)  The feisty young lady has the ton and her family dancing, despite her very real efforts to be a good girl, bless her heart.  Somehow that “being good” thing always manages to get away from her, which, though it mystifies both me and Charity, is vastly amusing.  (Her guy, as you can imagine, quite disagrees.)

So, what else have I been doing with my time?  Lots!  Energy has to go somewhere, right?  I started a new blog project, so pop on over there and make like you love me!  It’s a column, of sorts, called “A Cynic in Rose-Colored Glasses,” and I have every intention of polishing it into a writing gig someday (which totally explains the rose-colored glasses thing.)

I’ve also begun working with a close friend in an editorial capacity.  I really love editing.  Writing is a joy for me, and an escape, but one has to find the frame of mind to do so, be in the right place emotionally to create a story and give it a consistent voice and flavor throughout.  Editing, though … ahh, that’s where one can glow.  Words are pretty toys to shine and polish and manipulate, and I can do it anywhere.

Twitter gave me some fits, but after a rocky start, I think I’m off and running.  Follow me, if ya wanna, or friend me on Facebook.  In both cases, the links are below, and I’m having fun with all the different ways I can interact with all of you.

Muchly with the love, my fellow hopeless romantics! I’m popping back a couple centuries for a fabulous Friday night.
