pushed to the brink …

… of exhaustion.

I didn’t work on Charity at all this week.  Not one little bit.  This week found me facilitating customer service appreciation week at the job I loathe, but to which I go because I’d like to keep a roof over my head while I do what I really love … write.  It also helps to keep the electricity on, etc.

Normally, of course, this job is fairly brainless.  It pays well enough for me to get by, and I have myself on my admittedly brutal schedule that has me writing every night from 12am to 2am.  I never even came close to being awake for that this week.  I was asleep by 10:30 every single night.

Luckily, the galley on Faith came late last week, after having been lost in some email wormhole for nearly a month.  Because of this, I had very little time to read and find the errors … in fact, I managed it by staying up all night last Thursday.  But it is now done, and I got to see the dedication page (to my parents, this time) and the front matter for the book.

The front matter is a little teaser, a scene from the book that gives you a bit of the flavor of the novel.  I posted it Faith’s page, if you’d care to take a gander, and then further teased my Facebook friends with it.

As for me, hopefully, my schedule will return to normal.  I’m terribly anxious to see what new problems Charity is going to create for herself and for her reluctant hero.

Be beautiful, my friends.  ~kisses for the world~
