oh em gee …

So, it’s been an eventful summer.  Apparently so eventful, that I didn’t manage to update this blog even once, and I am covered in shame.  Sort of.  I mean, I’ve been writing and stuff, so that’s good, right?  Right?

Yeah, I know.  : )

I’ve mostly been avoiding putting stuff out here for a couple reasons.  I was one of the few who staunchly stood behind my publisher when they were going through financial difficulties.  It likely didn’t make good business sense for me to do so, but my reasons weren’t rooted in pragmatism.  Dorchester Publishing employed some amazing people, and I adored working with quite a few of them, especially my editor, Chris Keeslar. I didn’t want to add to the pervasive negativity surrounding the entire situation.

I didn’t go into a great deal of detail about the situation, but you all know that Mercy was scheduled for release in March of this year, and you all know that it didn’t happen.  I still don’t have news on a release date, and for that I do apologize.  I promise I’m still working diligently on getting it out there.

Which brings me to the good news.  Grace, Faith, and Charity have all been acquired by Amazon Publishing.  I signed with them in August, and when the dust settles on the deal between Amazon and Dorchester, I’ll be entering into discussions with them regarding publishing Mercy under their Montlake Romance line.  So keep your fingers crossed, please : )

As soon as I have more information, I’ll let all of you know.  Thank you so much for your patience and for the amazing emails, notes, messages, and tweets.  I know I’m behind in answering, but I promise to get to all of them soon!

Be beautiful, my friends!

  1. Yes! I think this is great news for you and Amazon Publishing. Not so for Dorchester P and I wish them well, and thanks for the books they have published!
Can’t wait for the dust to settle…

  2. Okay, since they have a page on Amazon for Mercy, I requested it on Kindle. And I am hoping that will help encourage them to publish Mercy because I really, really, really, really want to read it! :-)
